Maipo valley ranked 3rd best wine region to visit in the world

According to a poll carried out by 10 Best Reader´s Choice from USA TODAY, Chile's Maipo Valley has been elected has the third best region in the world to be worth visiting.

Maipo Andes in Maipo valley

The choice for this 3rd to Maipo valley was justified  by 3 factors: the closeness of its french-inspired wineries from the capital, Santiago, the touristic facilities of this extraordinnary site at the foothill of the Andes mountain range, and above all the high-quality of its wines produced from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, where the Maipo valley was imposing an unique style from its unique terroir.

The 1st place was given to unknown Alentejo in Portugal and 2nd to the Okanagan valley in Canada British Columbia.

This ranking confirms what GVV Terroirs has, through Viña Gandolini, always praised: the world-class terroir of the Maipo Andes sub-region among the Maipo valley, where all the best vineyards for Cabernet Sauvignon are planted.
